Mid 2007 I was asked to design a conceptional piece of furniture for a new residence. The building's concept served as a framework for my design.

I decided to present our design at the Interior Biennale in Kortrijk before delivering to the client.

 

After the succes of the first production run of 150, a second run limited to 250 will be issued from early 2010. Prices start at 2.350,- euros, all individualy numbered.

Wooden planks, the most basic construction material for furniture.
How to turn just one single plank into a usable piece of furniture...?
Two ingredients > a big plank and chair functionality.
So we gave it a try, just by cutting the plank and flipping the segments. Following the basic functions of a chair, a continuing spatial form was
